Carson Wentz will start at quarterback for the Vikings on Monday night, Kevin O'Connell said. Bills safety Cole Bishop learned it from reporters. He said Wentz is "not going to be as mobile, so that won't necessarily change our calls as much."

Carson Wentz starts Monday against the Bills. Kyler Murray's hamstring strain is "a week-to-week kind of thing," Kevin O'Connell said, and rushing him risked worse damage. Injured reserve is "not under consideration at all"; he hopes Murray starts his return "pretty early."

Vikings safety Theo Jackson won't practise Thursday (quad). Kevin O'Connell said Jay Ward "could give us really significant snaps," with Jakobe Thomas and Harrison Smith also in the mix, and Minnesota may dress an extra safety against the Bills. Christian Darrisaw will practise.
