He can also help on special teams, and that's why he's still here.
"We couldn't get them on the grass... so that says a lot." Dave Canales said it would take "something drastic" for Damien Lewis, Will Lee III and Jalen Coker, who missed all practice, to face Denver. Re-evaluation is Saturday. Bryce Young (ankle) is "ready to go," he said.
Brady Christensen "had a fantastic week. He looks really strong" in his first practices back from a hamstring injury, Panthers coach Dave Canales said. He wouldn't name his line for Denver; the same five could start again, Robert Hunt's chemistry with Monroe Freeling a factor.
"Certainly Marco's going to be out there again." Panthers coach Dave Canales said Marco Wilson will play cornerback again against Denver, with Chau Smith-Wade and Corey Thornton also in the mix for snaps.
"He can also help on special teams, and that's why he's still here." Ja'Tavion Sanders hasn't played all season, but Panthers coach Dave Canales said the tight end stays on the roster for that value. His potential role, Canales said, is the one Darren Waller fills.
