"That's our best win against them. We've owed them that for a little while," said Lewis Dunk after his 23rd meeting with Palace. Brighton are on their best ever Premier League start, six games in. Fabian Hürzeler: "We have to stay very humble. The season will be long."
Kaoru Mitoma will miss Brighton's Premier League game against Palace, and Fabian Hürzeler didn't list him as an option for later games either. Yankuba Minteh is out too, but "for the next games there might be options". Pascal Struijk is a doubt pending another check.
Georginio Rutter scored twice and Michael Svoboda was "really good" on his first start in Brighton's 4-0 Conference League win over Kauno Zalgiris. Fabian Hürzeler says it opens up the starting XI for Palace: "we have now competition... who will play, who will start."
Pascal Struijk's red card against Sunderland is overturned. "I heard we only had 1% chance normally," said Brighton's Fabian Hürzeler. Struijk, managed after the international break, looks set to miss the Conference League opener against Žalgiris, hoped back for Palace.
Mats Wieffer won't be ready for Palace, but Brighton's Fabian Hürzeler says "afterwards, there will be definitely then an option". Jack Hinshelwood is back in training, expected for the Conference League game against Žalgiris. Femi Azeez missed training: "no big issue."
Brighton will rotate against Žalgiris in the Conference League with six games in 17 days. Fabian Hürzeler: "there will be definitely some changes. How many, I can't say." Asked if ever-present Luka Vušković will be rested, he didn't commit; he'll be managed in the next weeks.
Georginio Rutter will play against Žalgiris in the Conference League after what Brighton's Fabian Hürzeler called his best training week at the club: "he deserves it." Rutter admitted he can be hard to work with and inconsistent in training, and that he needs to score more.
