Garrett Wilson is out for the Chiefs game. "Anytime you lose a player of that magnitude, it's always tough," Aaron Glenn said. Trevin Wallace is also out. Nahshon Wright sat out Friday's practice with a back issue and is questionable.
Joseph Ossai (limited) and Harrison Phillips (full) are questionable for the Chiefs, Jets coach Aaron Glenn said. David Bailey practiced fully in his return; Glenn said his work against the run has "improved dramatically." Breece Hall and Mason Taylor were full participants.
VJ Payne's practice window has opened, Jets coach Aaron Glenn said Friday ahead of the Chiefs game. "He was just opening his window. All right, so we'll continue with that process when it comes to him."
Frank Reich on Garrett Wilson, in the protocol before the Chiefs game: "You can't replace Garrett Wilson... But on the other hand, we're not afraid." If Wilson can't play, Reich said, "we'll do AD things or Coop things," meaning Adonai Mitchell and Omar Cooper Jr.

Frank Reich said Breece Hall is "obviously the bell cow," but "it'll be a mix" with Braelon Allen against the Chiefs. "You got 2 number one backs." The hot hand is "an in-game feel thing," he said. Demario Davis on David Onyemata: "I don't know anything medically."
Breece Hall says he's ready to play Sunday against the Chiefs, and that his quad injury was worse than people realised. The Jets running back said it kept getting inflamed after practice, so he rested rather than risk reinjury while Braelon Allen played well.
