Lewis Miley and Matias Fernandez-Pardo are doubtful for Newcastle's Carabao Cup tie at Everton, with a call due in two days. "With both of them we don't want to take any additional risk," said Matthias Jaissle. About seven of his eight or nine injured are back but need patience.
Anthony Elanga can't play 90 minutes but Matthias Jaissle counts on him for Newcastle at Palace. Matias Fernandez-Pardo trains only partially. Of Dan Burn, Amar Dedic and William Osula, "maybe one or the other" could start. Jacob Ramsey is back training; he wouldn't commit.
