Adelaide Crows · 4 notes
Nick Murray stays at Adelaide. Adam Kelly said North Melbourne's offer was strong, but with Jordan Butts gone the Crows would not thin their tall defenders further: "we're in a win-now phase... we weren't going to jeopardize our opportunity to win next year."
Pick 9 could still move: asked about Port Adelaide's pick 7, GWS's Jason McCartney said their hand gives "a bit of flexibility" up to draft night. A North Melbourne swap tied to Nick Murray is all but dead; it needed to be compelling as "we're not there to help other clubs."
North Melbourne's offer for Nick Murray has met silence. Adelaide's Jarryd Roughead said the Crows have had no conversations with the Kangaroos since it landed, and that a deal is a long shot: "to entertain this, um, you know, it's more unlikely than likely."
"5 won't be it." North Melbourne's bid for Adelaide's Nick Murray has stalled, and Brady Rawlings won't split pick 5 to land him as it would cost a pick in the 20s too. North keep 5, with at least six names beyond the top two: "a pretty even group."
